Well, the new year came and went, without much incident. I must admit, I kind of liked it without all of the hoopla that has accompanied New Year's Eve in the past. I ended up in a heated game of 42 that lasted until after the ball dropped. My team ended up winning, which was a great start to 2010, and then we headed home. My new friend, C, had wanted to go out together, but New Year's Eve has such a stigma, that I thought it was best to bypass that whole thing.
So, now I am back at work and looking forward to the next holiday (February 15th). I can only hope that I last that long without taking a vacation day.
This past weekend was pretty busy. Mom and I hit up some shopping, which is fun again since it isn't all about wedding stuff. I am back in shoe buying mode, which may or may not be good for my wallet.
I also decided that I am going to go ahead and move into the duplex that R and I were supposed to share. It's time for me to take that step, and I need to live by myself for a while. Who knows, I may get so used to that that I never live with anyone again.
